Aeris has updated its IoT Accelerator connectivity management platform with support for the GSMA SGP.32 IoT eSIM specification, a Single SKU eSIM option for simplified global device deployment, and a managed eIM-as-a-service offering, giving mobile network operators, device manufacturers and enterprises more flexibility over how they manage device connectivity across markets.
The company, which manages more than 110 million IoT devices across 30 mobile network operators, has renamed its existing eSIM Hub product to Aeris eSIM Orchestrator and expanded it to cover all three generations of GSMA eSIM standards alongside the new SGP.32 support. The practical effect is that a single connection to Aeris IoT Accelerator gives customers access to a community of pre-integrated operators covering SGP.02 M2M, SGP.22 Consumer and SGP.32 IoT specifications.
The SGP.32 Orchestrator capability allows customers to use policies and events to automate profile management across devices in bulk, determining which local profile a device holds, when it downloads it, what it is permitted to do and what happens on failure. This moves away from per-device profile switching toward a more scalable approach suited to deployments numbering in the thousands or millions.
Single SKU eSIM allows original equipment manufacturers to build and ship a single device variant globally, with connectivity decisions made at deployment rather than manufacture. That reduces the need for market-specific hardware variants and shortens time between device production and deployment.
"The future of IoT is increasingly tied to the rise of Physical AI, as connected vehicles, machines and infrastructure become more intelligent and autonomous," said Jon Connet, Chief Product Officer at Aeris. "That evolution demands connectivity that can adapt as devices move across markets and networks and requirements change. Our new IoT eSIM capabilities build on Aeris' proven IoT platform leadership to make that possible at global scale."
Aeris also introduced an eIM-as-a-Service option: a fully managed eSIM IoT remote Manager integrated into IoT Accelerator for customers who do not want to source or manage their own eIM. For customers who prefer to bring their own eSIM management layer, Aeris has pre-integrated with Thales, G+D, Kigen and IDEMIA.
The capabilities are particularly relevant for physical AI applications, including autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics and smart infrastructure, which need to operate across jurisdictions without manual SIM replacement or reconfiguration as devices move or connectivity requirements change.
"For OEMs, MNOs and enterprises, the challenge isn't changing a SIM profile on one device; it's doing it reliably across thousands or millions of devices," said Connet. "SGP.32 provides the foundation, but orchestration makes it work at global scale. Aeris enables customers to use the same IoT connectivity service across networks with local SIM profiles, combining the flexibility of roaming with the advantages of local connectivity."
Orange Business, which worked with Aeris on the SGP.32 programme, described the launch as a "strategic enabler". Elisabeth Reille, Executive Vice President for Smart Mobility Services at Orange Business, said: "The transition to IoT eSIM based on SGP.32 is not simply a technical upgrade; it's a strategic enabler for enterprises managing connected devices across markets. Our collaboration with Aeris sets a strong benchmark for how operators and platform partners can deliver global eSIM orchestration in a way that's practical, standards-compliant, and built for the realities of global IoT."
Aeris manages more than 44 million eSIM-based devices, representing more than 40 percent of its installed base, compared with around 12 percent for the broader IoT market. The platform attaches devices in more than 200 countries each month, with roughly 70 percent of those attachments occurring on a partner's own network rather than via roaming. The company will present the new capabilities at its Accelerate Together 2026 summit in London later in October.
