AddSecure takes over Spotmaster's fleet tracking connections in Traxgo platform push

The two companies signed their agreement on 28 May. Under its terms, AddSecure's Smart Mobility unit absorbs all of Spotmaster's Track and Trace connections, including hardware and service activities. Spotmaster's own software and data products remain under its own roof; the transfer covers the connectivity and field service layer only.

AddSecure integrates the acquired connections into its Traxgo Fleet Management platform, which already operates across Belgium and neighbouring European markets. The migration is described as gradual, structured to avoid service disruption for existing Spotmaster customers.

Stefan Albertsson, CEO of AddSecure, said the deal extends the company's footprint in a segment it has been building for some time: "This agreement strengthens our position within fleet management and expands our footprint in Track & Trace services. By integrating these connections into our Traxgo platform, we can deliver even greater value and innovation to customers."

For Spotmaster, the rationale is focus. Peter van der Leeuw, its CEO, said: "By partnering with AddSecure, we are ensuring that our Track & Trace services are managed by a specialised provider, while we sharpen our focus on software and data. This marks an important next step for Spotmaster and enables us to support our customers even better in their digital transformation."

AddSecure is headquartered in Stockholm and covers IoT connectivity across sectors including transportation, logistics, public safety, and critical infrastructure. Castik Capital, a European private equity firm, holds a majority stake.
