Procurri Named in Gartner Report on Third-Party Maintenance Providers for Data Centre

Procurri Corporation Limited (“Procurri”, and together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”), a leading global independent provider of Data Centre Equipment and Lifecycle Services , announced today that Gartner has listed Procurri among 18 other companies in its report on “Competitive Landscape: Partnering with Third-Party Maintenance Providers for Data Center and Network Maintenance Cost Optimization”, published on 7 July 2017 by Christine Tenneson.

Commented Mr Sean Murphy, Procurri’s Global Chief Executive Officer, “We are delighted and honoured to be one of the selected few companies highlighted in this report. Being featured in the highly fragmented third-party maintenance (“TPM”) services industry is an acknowledgement of our proven track record in the data centre TPM market, and certainly positions us well as the go-to partner for quality and efficient TPM solutions and services worldwide.”

In the report, Gartner identifies a major shift occurring in the TPM market: the third-party data centre maintenance, third-party network maintenance and secondary hardware markets are coming together. Gartner notes that most providers in this space want to offer support across servers, storage and network. Today, there is more cross-pollination between secondary hardware sales and TPMs.

“What Gartner has identified in this report is the core of Procurri’s unique eco-system: we have an extensive global presence in three key regions – the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific, on top of our expertise in three key markets – hardware resale, TPM for both data centre and storage, as well as IT Asset Disposition (“ITAD”). This is our key competitive edge as we are able to offer a comprehensive suite of data centre hardware and services worldwide, all from a single point of contact. I am heartened that we have gotten a first-mover advantage on this upcoming trend,” concluded Mr Murphy.

Prior to this mention, Procurri was listed as a Sample Vendor in Gartner’s Report titled “Lower Both Storage Acquisition and Ownership Costs by Using Third-Party Maintenance”, published on 3 March 2017 by Stanley Zaffos. The report delved into third-party maintenance, specifically for storage, and how the use of third-party maintenance may enable the safe extension of service lives of installed storage arrays, make changing storage vendors easier, and provide leverage when negotiating infrastructure refreshes with incumbent vendors.

Procurri was also identified as a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s Report on Market Guide for IT Asset Disposition, published on 22 November 2016. In that report, Procurri was listed as a provider offering a different value proposition than ITAD service providers, through its “converged infrastructure” approach that utilises ITAD as a source of used IT equipment with which it can build complete “load and go” solutions.
