Lawrence Freeman, Operations Director at Mutiny
Lawrence Freeman has over 22 years’ experience in network design and consultancy and pre/post-sales technical support. He was responsible for designing and managing one of the first UK-dedicated ASPs. His skills include: business operations, design and implementation of datacentres, network design and consultancy, pre and post technical sales support as well as documentation, Solaris/Linux administration and satellite communications.
After heading-up the ASP and Hosted Services division of E-Net Systems and working as Senior Consultant at Unit 4 Agresso, Lawrence joined Mutiny in 2003. The business had been founded at the end of the Year 2000 as a spin-off from Manchester University's ‘Manchester Computing Laboratory,’ where it remained for twelve months, before securing capital funding and moving to London. A three-year joint venture with Toshiba systems ensued during which time Lawrence joined the company. Following Toshiba's major restructuring in 2004, Mutiny began to supply network-monitoring systems through the IT reseller channel and directly to end customers in the UK and Germany. Lawrence has remained there for the past 12 years as Operations Director, combining both commercial and technical expertise.
